What is Rhinoplasty?
The most central feature on every bodies face the nose is a complex and very varied shape. There are racial differences but a massive variation even within strict racial groups exists. If you love your own nose you are in the minority, many believe it is far from their best feature and seek surgical reshaping or rhinoplasty. I perform many of these each year but for most this is probably a step too far but recognise some asymmetries or irregularities they don’t like.
Rhinoplasty can be done using either open or closed techniques:
The good news is that many of these features can be corrected without surgery. Noses can be made straighter or shapelier in both the front view and profile by adding tiny amounts of filler to the right place. Because form and size is as much about proportions as absolute size these small additions of volume to the right place can often make a nose look smaller as well as more shapely.
I use filler injections to achieve this change in shape. The filler can be chosen to last either a relatively short time or a much longer time and some can even be reversed if you are anxious about the result. We only use safe and FDA approved fillers.
