Dermal Fillers
Dermal Fillers are used to correct lines and wrinkles, enhance lips and facial contours, including around the eyes, cheeks, chin, jaw line and nose, and can do so instantly, giving natural looking results for up to eighteen months.
What are dermal fillers?
Most dermal fillers are made of Hyaluronic acid; found naturally in our skin, it’s function being to hold water, hydrating and giving volume to the skin, it acts as a medium for chemical messages sent between the skin cells and ‘cushions’ collagen and elastin fibres As we get older the distribution of our natural hyaluronic acid diminishes. When we add this manufactured hyaluronic acid during treatment the body does not recognise it as foreign, it becomes ‘knitted in’ with our own hyaluronic acid and gradually broken down and excreted alongside our own. Unlike our own hyaluronic acid it is not replaced without further treatment. Once it wears off your skin simply returns to its pre treatment state.

Collagen Stimulators
Radiesse is a collagen stimulating filler made calcium microspheres in a carrier gel. It provides immediate correction and in place, stimulates your own collagen to provide longer lasting results. It is an ideal product for facial volumising and contouring and also for restoring volume to the hands as tendons and veins become more prominent.
The treatment of choice for those who need volume to restore more youthful contours and lift the face, but do not want immediate and dramatic results. Having achieved the result gradually over a period of several months, maintenance treatment is only required every 18-24 months and is very cost effective.
Our nurses are experienced and fully trained to administer a wide range of popular dermal filler brands and are happy to use the filler of your choice, providing it is safe.

Why Choose Us for Dermal Fillers?
There has been some controversy and scary stories in the media over recent months. Horrible complications can arise when non approved fillers are used in ways they should not be. Undesirable results are a problem when unqualified, poorly trained, or inexperienced or unskilled people inject them without caution or respect.
Even those who you would expect to trust can get it wrong when they haven’t been properly trained. It is worth noting that nurses, doctors and plastic surgeons do not gain their medical qualifications with an innate ability to provide these treatments safely and with skill, which explains why even celebrities suffer poor results.
The Simon Lee Aesthetic Clinic only uses products that have been well tried and tested, FDA approved, and deliver great results, reliably and safely.
Trusted Hyaluronic Acid brands
We only use approved an trusted Hyaluric acid brands at Simon Lee's Aesthetic Medical Clinic, including; Emervel, Restylane, Teosyal, Juvederm and Belotero : Each brand has its own qualities, which is why we include a number of different brands in our 'tool box'.

What does the treatment involve?
The skin is thoroughly cleansed. All make up must be removed and then anaesthetic cream is applied to the treatment are, or ice, if you prefer. The injections are not painful in our hands, the dermal fillers have an anaesthetic in them, so can be injected quite painlessly. The results are instant!
What to expect after the treatment
Immediately afterwards, the majority will look immediately better, with no tell tale signs they have had a procedure. For some, the skin may be a little red, the injections have been. There may be some swelling over the first two or three days, but this is not normally disfiguring in any way. It is possible to have bruising.
We advise against applying make up for 12 hours following treatment.
How long will results last?
We do not use permanent fillers in this clinic (the kind of fillers seen on programmes such as, ‘Botched up Bodies’. As the dermal filler gradually is broken down and excreted in a natural way, by the body, your skin will return to its pre treatment state; possibly a little better than before, but certainly no worse.
How long the results last does depend on a number of variables; what product, and how it is placed, and your own biology and life style. Generally speaking, we would expect them to last a minimum of 6 months and not much longer than 12. Repeat or touch up treatment when necessary will maintain the results; often this is an annual treatment.
