Coolsculpting Success – Bristol, UK

had CoolScultping done on my upper and lower abs after having had two babies in two years and being transformed from having the athletic figure of a dancer to having a substantial mummy tummy. I wanted to get back on stage and so needed to diet to get back into shape. The only problem was my husband liked my new curvier frame preferring it to the muscular skinny physique I had previously sported. We decided upon a compromise. I would only lose half the weight that I wanted to going from 9st 13lbs- 9st 7lbs, rather than the 9st 2lbs I would prefer to be, so long as I could be rid of the mummy tummy.

After much research, I came to the conclusion that Coolsculpting was the way forward and so 15 months after the birth of my second child I bit the bullet and had the procedure done on my upper and lower abs. I had the procedure done in Simon Lee's Aesthetic Medical Clinic in Bristol. Six weeks later I can honestly say that have I experienced more than a 30 percent reduction in the thickness of fat in the areas treated. My tummy is now now completely flat from the side and I can easily fit into my pre-pregnancy size 12 jeans. I also lost 4lbs after the treatment by cutting out alcohol and drinking more water and this enhanced the effect, but by no means could be considered the reason for the new appearance of a flat stomach. I've never had a flat stomach, not even when I weighed 8st. I also took before and after measurements of the area. They were 29 waist, 37 drop waist and 38 hip before, followed by a 28 waist, 35 drop waist, and 38 hip after. So it is obvious to see in the figures that it was spot reduction of the mummy tummy that was most significant.

I found the procedure itself odd but not unpleasant. The immediate sucking action of the applicator head is the most startling, followed by an intense cold, but it is soon replaced by a complete numbing of the area. I had slightly pink skin for a day afterwards and it felt tender to touch, but did not stop me from going about the daily chores required of me with two babies under three. I did experience intense itching and bee sting like pains in the area on days 5-10 and did not feel up to doing any exercise on these days but these symptoms passed by day ten. It is six weeks since I had the procedure and I still have the sensation of having a slightly numb tummy, but only if I really concentrate on it. I took paracetamol during days 5-10, although this had little impact upon the bee-sting like pains, but as they were not severe in nature I was not perturbed. Rather it was annoying as I found it difficult to sleep through. I did call the Clinic's manager on day six to find out if I could take anything else and was given advice about further pain relief, which it turned out I didn't need in the end anyway. The staff at the clinic were friendly, knowledgeable and reassuring. I'm sure I've never been offered so many cups of tea during a beauty treatment! I am considering treating my love handles in the future as I am one hundred percent convinced this procedure works for me.

First Blue Peel Radiance – Bristol, GB

Having always had sensitive skin I was nervous about having a peel treatment. At my consultation everything was explained to me & I was told what to expect when the peel was on. I am glad that they had told what to expect because when the peel is first put on the skin it feels really hot like your skin is burning, I think I would have panicked If I wasn't prepared for that!!

After the treatment when I was shown the mirror my skin did look pretty blotchy which I was expecting because my skin goes red really easily, the redness went down during the day. After about 3 days my skin flaked abit around my chin but a week later my skin looked & felt amazing!! I was so happy that I have decided to go ahead & have the course of 6 peels as preparation for my wedding!!

Ulthera and Botox Injections – Bristol, United Kingdom, GB

I am quite new to this world of Cosmetic treatments but I was starting to feel self conscious about my face generally looking tired and sagging. I knew that I wanted something non- invasive so I researched Ulthera myself following reading an article in a magazine. It seemed so simple with minimal interuption to my hectic life. I am lucky that a Clinic in Bristol where I live actually had this treatment.

After a thorough and in depth Consultation with the Nurse at the Clinic, I also then had a Consultation with Mr Lee. Mr Lee really listened to me when I explained what I was hoping to achieve, the treatment was explained to me at great length and I did not feel nervous speaking to him like I have done before with some Doctors. I also highlighted that the wrinkles in between my eyes were concerning me. Mr Lee advised me that Ulthera would not improve these wrinkles. I therefore decided to combine my Ulthera treatment with some Botox injections- which Mr Lee performed for me several weeks after my Ulthera treatment.

The results of my Ulthera are so impressive- my jawline is tighter and my eyes feel more awake. I find it easier putting my eye makeup on in the morning! It did take 2-3 months for me to notice the improvements and my Botox definitely needs to be repeated now. The Botox injections are also incredible I had just one small bruise but this was no issue for me. It's nice not to have such a deep frown when I am expressing myself. I have to mention that Ulthera was quite painful but I was given some pain relief which helped to reduce the pain. After my Ulthera treatment the pain had disappeared and I just had a bit of swelling. I would recommend Ulthera and Botox injections to any hard working mum that generally needs a lifting treatment and to look less tired.

Lip Filler Experience – Bristol, United Kingdom

I was looking for some help with my lips as they were thinning as I got older (50+). I had a consultation with Emma who was very helpful and recommended a small amount of filler to give me a very natural look. The experience was very good, practically pain-free, and over very quickly. There was no bruising and little or no swelling afterwards or the following day. A really positive experience from beginning to end.

The staff at Simon Lee's Aesthetic Medical Clinic provide a professional and personable service. Having been visiting the clinic for a couple of years I would not even consider going elsewhere. I've previously tried another clinic but it certainly does not compare to the standard of service provided at Simon Lee's. Never have any of the polite and welcoming staff pushed me into having procedures nor purchasing products. They offer an honest and individual service; listening to my desired outcome and always exceeding them.

The staff are well experienced and knowledgable about their services and products. And for added reassurance Simon Lee reviews the work undertaken and if on hand should anything ever go wrong (never in my case!!). The aftercare is extensive and the staff are always happy to answer any query or have you back in for check up. Emma is the queen of Botox and Lucy's lip filler skills are exceptional!!

Restore the Structure of Your Face for About £700. Bristol, GB

I thought long and hard about fillers. I you-tubed the procedure and decided, at 51 years old, to try and add volume to my cheeks in order to turn back time a little, and stop myself looking a bit like a slightly deflated balloon. I did a lot of research and came up with Emma Davies at Simon Lee's clinic in Bristol. I wanted somebody medical with extensive experience, not a beautician. I booked an appointment and was taken through all the options available to help me achieve my desired result together with pros and cons of each option. I bombarded Emma with questions which she calmly and very professionally answered in great detail.

I opted for cheek filler and felt in very safe hands. I was still nervous in case the procedure hurt or would make me look odd but Emma was incredibly calming and professional. I was slathered in numbing cream over my cheek area and after 30 minutes the injecting started. I felt virtually nothing. There is a sensation of 'work' being done but no pain at all. Emma explained everything as she was doing it and showed me one finished side of my face before starting on the other side. I could not believe it. My face had its scaffolding back.

The result was a miracle. After completing the second side, I was given a mirror again and was aghast at the transformation. Subtle but clear. I had my cheeks back and looked refreshed and younger. I loved the effect. I was told not to put make up on for at least 4 hours until the injection sites had sealed but that was pretty much it. I could have gone back to work in the afternoon with no problem. There was no pain, no medication, no necessary aftercare...simple and straightforward and amazing. That night I slept well, on my side which is my usual position, and didn't feel at all uncomfortable. It felt very very slightly tender but nothing that stopped me feeling comfortable and able to sleep. I was told the filler would last about a year and i must admit I was sceptical. However, here we are a year later and my cheeks are still holding up.

I went back to Emma today for a top-up and only needed 1 x syringe (at £350) as most of the filler was still in place. Hopefully £350 a year will keep the result which seems a pretty good investment to me. What more can I say? If you're thinking of fillers, don't hesitate. Emma is a sculptress! She has a great eye for the perfect contour and is a perfectionist. You will be in great hands and won't find better, so if you think fillers are for you, book Emma Davies at Simon Lee's clinic. You'll be pleased you did.

MiraDry Has Completely Changed my Social and Business Life – Bristol, GB

The benefit of undertaking MiraDry to resolve my underarm hyperhidrosis has been truly wonderful. I find myself far less tired. Why? Simply, because I am not using up so much energy worrying and having to plan exit strategies when my inevitable perspiration would occur. This has really positively affected my relationships in the work place and socially. I can ‘put myself forward’ more readily, and I don’t have to always wear inappropriate multiple layers of clothing, under arm pads whatever the weather etc… to conceal my perspiration ‘problem’.
